The Golden North…Ghost Hunting. :)

Sunday we got a private tour of the old Golden North Hotel in Skagway.  It's been closed for several years but our boss owns it so we finally got a tour of it.
According to The Paranormal Travel Guide...

Golden North Hotel. There are two ghosts that haunt this old hotel. Employees have nicknamed one of them "Mary." They believe she is the spirit of a young lady who died of pneumonia in her room, while waiting for her fiancé to return from a gold-prospecting expedition. She still haunts Room 23, where ghostly images of a woman have appeared and guests have complained of choking sensations in the middle of the night. Room 14 is haunted by a strange "light form" that moves around in the room at night. Nobody knows who, or what, it represents.

Here's a few pictures of the place.  It's gorgeous inside and was completely restored by our employers when they bought it.  They have many stories of strange happenings there but only speak of "Mary" and according to them it's room 24.
Here's a few photos of the inside
Dennis (The Boss) giving us some Hotel history.  Jackie (L) with Nancy (Boss Lady) LOL

Gorgeous furnishings and most it looks like it’s still in use…kind of sad it’s just sitting empty.

There’s definitely some interesting energies in the old Hotel, it was a wonderful tour.
We came back to the RV Park and our 2 resident Chef’s put on a Pizza Party for everyone.  Randy made the dough & Glenn made the sauce.  They provided cheese & pepperoni then we all brought drinks & other toppings… GREAT FUN!

Wish I could find a better blog program...The formatting in this changes after I publish it and the pictures are never lined up properly.  Sorry  :(

What a beautiful hotel. How come they don't open it to the public for tours a couple of days a week?

Have you tried Windows Live Writer for your blog? Jeri showed me how to download and use it and I really like how it works. You do everything off line and then just upload it to your blog or you can schedule it to upload to your blog.

I'm using Live Writer, but I still have issues with the photos and spacing. It looks perfect till I publish it then all these spacing problems show up...I go in to edit them and they don't show for me. :(
