After six months on a gate we were ready for a change. We fell in love with southern Utah when we drove though there 2 years ago, so we looked for a summer job out there and found one. April 22nd we headed North.
We stopped in Abilene for a quick visit with my brother Devin.
Then continued on up to Colorado for a visit with Trish & Justin.
Justin came and spent a few days with us at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.
We went to the Air Force Academy to show Justin where we used to live, sadly our house is no longer there. We toured the Academy though.
Then the snow came...What a surprise!
Fortunately it didn't last long. I got to spend my birthday with Trish, we had lunch in Old Colorado City.
Then dinner with Bill & Tana...Tana was my best friend when I was stationed there. Her & Bill retired and stayed in the area. Hadn't seen them in 23 years, what a fun reunion.
We left Colorado springs on May 3rd and headed on to Utah. We took our time and arrived in Cannonville on May 6th. We'll be working at the KOA here until September 30th.
We do the pancake breakfast every morning, then finish out in Housekeeping, cleaning the cabins and the community buildings.
It's a beautiful area, so I'll do a couple other posts with pictures of some of the landscape. Hard to believe we've been on the road for 7 years this month...Love It!
