Through a strange turn of events, we got the steps fixed today. We got all packed up and ready to leave our campsite in Grand Island, NY when John discovered his seatbeat was seized up and wouldn't unroll enough to hook. After messing with it, cussing, and beating on it a while, he called a RV repair place about 2 hours down the road. When we got there they discovered the spring inside had broken and they had no new ones....but they did have the motor for our steps!
They replaced the motor for the steps and set the seatbelt to a length that can be latched around John. We'll call the Winnebago service center in CT and have them order a new seatbelt now.
We're boondocking at Walmart in Waterloo, NY and we'll hit the Premium Outlet Mall tomorrow morning. Made reservations for a campground in Ocean View, NJ for this weekend....Woo Hoo!
