Arizona

We made it to Arizona on Friday Sep 11th and spent the night at the RV Resort where we’ll be workamping this Winter.  Met the Manager and discussed a little about the park & the duties…I think we’re going to like it here.  :)

Saturday we drove up to Phoenix and went to Ken & Sherry’s house, then out to lunch.   We went over to Ken & Sherry’s for lunch on Sunday and decided we needed to go North for cooler weather….102 degrees was pretty miserable for us.

Monday we drove up to Sedona and checked into a campground for 3 nights.  It’s in the 80’s with trees & grass and wonderful cool breezes in the evening.  This may be my new favorite place!  We took the free shuttle tour on Monday and wandered around the shops.  Today we took off early to check out the Vortex spots.  We went up to the Cathedral Chapel, then to Bell Rock…which was quite a hike up onto the rocks.  Then on to the Airport Vortex and the Airport restaurant for lunch.  After lunch we went to the Boynton Canyon Vortex which was the hardest hike of the day.  The views were incredible on top of these rock formations and there’s definitely a different energy feel around the vortex…the trees that grow near the vortex even have twisted trunks & limbs.

Tomorrow we’re going to take it easy…I think hiking four of these points was a bit too much in one day, for our old bones anyway.
