From South Dakota to Wisconsin

We used our last day in Rapid City to do a little exploring.  We drove up toward Mount Rushmore and stopped at Bear Park USA on the way.  It’s a drive through Wildlife Refuge…lots of great animals to see, but kind of dull after seeing so many in the wild the past few months. Phoebe was very interested in the bears.

Then we drove up to Mount Rushmore, we just took a picture from the road.
Monday we left Rapid City and headed on East.  We spent one night in Welcome, MN and got to Fort Atkinson, WI on Tuesday afternoon.  It was great to see George & Carol again.  We went out for dinner & met up with Shery & KC….so great to see each other again.  Shery’s really not drunk, she’s just trying to lean into the picture ~ LOL!
Wed. morning George took us to meet the park owner.  George & Carol are coming back to work here next summer and it sounded like a job we’d be interested in.  After a short chat with the owner we were offered a Fulltime position for next summer and we accepted it!  I’ll be working the office and John will be working Grounds Maintenance.  We’re excited to be working with George & Carol again and relieved to have found a good position for next summer already.
Tomorrow we head South and plan to meet up with Francis & JoAnn in Memphis on Saturday…Can’t wait to see them too.
