Almost to Arkansas...

Friday was our drive out of Wisconsin, through part of Minnesota, and into Iowa.

We saw many corn fields.....

We drove 364 miles and ended up at a Love's Truck Stop for the night.  I really love boondocking, but hate Truck Stops....they're noisy and too crowded.

We got "Blessed" with a gospel singing trucker next to us this evening.  He must have seen the beer bottle on the table and decided we needed "Saved"

We did our best to avoid eye contact...he finally took a nap and we closed our curtains.  When we woke up this morning he had left and been replaced by a less obtrusive neighbor.

Here we are...sandwiched between the few trucks that hadn't already pulled out this morning.

We got ready and drove down the road to the Iowa Machine Shed Restaurant.  This restaurant was rated as one of the Best Breakfasts in America by the Travel Channel.  It was good...way more than we normally eat for breakfast though.  We even bought a Hickory Smoked Bacon Chocolate bar on the way out...it's pretty interesting with a glass of cheap wine ~ LOL.

They give free tractor rides around the Living History Farms, but we decided to skip that.

I Loved the Pig at the front door

We drove 381 miles today, and are parked for the night at a Walmart in Jane, MO...just a Hop, Skip, and Jump from the Arkansas line.  We have 223 miles to get to Little Rock, AR tomorrow and spend a few days with Francis & JoAnn.

You guys are really covering the miles. And we agree with not liking truck stops. We try to avoid them at all costs - would rather find a Walmart if at all possible. Don't like either though if there's anything else. The bacon chocolate bar just doesn't sound good at all.
