We only drove 82 miles after we left the Jellystone park yesterday. We went up to Baraboo, Wisconsin and parked for a couple nights at the Ho-Chunk Casino. A very nice Indian Casino with free overnight parking, 24 hour security, and an amazing seafood buffet on Wednesday nights. Security met us when we drove in the lot and escorted us to a back lot they reserve for overnighters.
We had about 8 other RV neighbors, but the parking lot is huge so no one is really too close.
This morning we took off to see The Dells. The city takes its name from the dells of the Wisconsin River, a scenic, glacially formed gorge that features striking sandstone formations along the banks of the Wisconsin River. They claim to be the "Waterpark Capital of the World"...there's one after another on the main drag. We decided to just take a DUCK Boat Tour of the Lower Dells.
These "DUCK" Boats were made in 1942 and used during WWII. It's about an hour long tour, half on land and half in the water. Pretty scenery down the Wisconsin river.
We came back and picked up the dogs then drove over to Plain, Wisconsin to visit the Cedar Grove Cheese Factory. We've been enjoying their organic cheese all summer, so we wanted to visit there.
A short "Through the Window" tour of the plant, then we hit the store & stocked up on some cheese.
We drove through Loganville on the way back....
No, not Loganville, Georgia....Loganville, Wisconsin ~ Ha Ha!
