Things happen fast around here...
We met with Doug at noon today and will be going to class tomorrow at 1:00. Class is for our Security license, fingerprinting, and company rules. As soon as we finish that, we'll head south toward our gate.
We'll be in South West Texas...looks like near Batesville & Pearsall. Doug said he was pretty sure we wouldn't get Verizon coverage out there & we may be able to get AT&T, but might need a booster. Since our contract is up on the Verizon aircard, we went to AT&T and got a mobile hotspot unit. We didn't have time to go into Dallas to see about a booster, so we're just going to hope this works. If the phones don't work, we'll get some kind of cheap, no-contract phone to use while we're there.
We ran into Ft Worth and hit a Whole Foods Market to stock up the extra freezer, loaded up on dog food, stopped at Walmart for a few more supplies, and I guess we're almost ready. We're excited about the new adventure and ready to get settled down and relax for a while.
I'll update when I can and let everyone know what our communication is like.
