Fort Nelson

We drove about 285 miles yesterday and stopped in Fort Nelson for the night.  West End RV Park is under new management and is now Triple G Hideaway.  The new owners are working hard on getting the place cleaned up and they’re very accommodating.  They have a small bar & restaurant, so we had a buffalo burger & a beer for dinner.  It’s a nice place and it’s really the only thing in town right now. 

This area is very dry and dusty…. it’s worse than Arizona.  It was very warm yesterday and the mosquitoes were out in force last night.  We’re leaving today to head for Liard Hot Springs….hoping that we’ll be able to enjoy the springs without getting eaten by mosquitoes. 

Probably won’t have a WiFi connection for a couple days…I’ll update when I can.
