Our First Vineyard Overnight

Tonight we’re spending the night at a winery just west of Portland.  This is one of the participating wineries in the Harvest Host program we joined.  It allows RV’s to stay overnight free at participating vineyards.  There are around 400 wineries in Oregon and about 250 of them are in this area, the Willamette Valley….Who Knew???

Lucky Us…it happens to be “North Willamette Wine Trail Weekend”, so a full scale wine tasting was in progress when we arrived and we were invited to join in.  We tasted some great wines and were warmly welcomed by the owners.    Here’s a few pictures of the place.

The view…

This one was quite a way off the Interstate, and the roads were more narrow than we liked…however, there was a nice level area to park in and the owners & wine were wonderful.

I'm so glad you guys got to try this out. I've been looking at some of the vineyards on the route I'm trying to plan. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

It's a nice change from casinos & Walmart parking lots. :)
